Apparently the sardine is on the list of fish that the Trash Bear can request in summer. The only problem with this is that sardines cannot be caught in summer. I get the feeling that this may be related to the issue with NPCs being able to request a sardine on the bulletin board during summer. I don't know if the same problem can occur with

Demetrius asking the player to cull some sardines on the special orders board during summer, but it probably couldn't hurt to check.
