Odd question about children

Ok, I’ve never gotten married before but eeeeeeeh I’m exited! I need to rack up the 65,000 for the house upgrade first… Ok back to the real question: Do the children look like you and your spouse? or is it random. For example if I were to marry Sam and I was a blonde (yellow grey…) farmer as well would our children be blonde or is it random. Same thing with other characteristics like skin? Would it be random??? I am just curious pls help me out. BTW we are opposite gender me and sam so I don’t know if that matters. Please help!

You can have children only if you are married and have upgraded the Farmhouse for the second time which adds a nursery and an extra room. After you go to bed for the night, your spouse might ask (1/20 chance) if you want to have/adopt a child. You can answer "yes" or "not now." Same-gender...

The appearance of you children is decided by existed template.



I have two kids in this game.
The appearances of my kids are No.4 boy and No.2 girl.

This might not be the case. I remember an odd thread from a long time ago, about a Stardew player wondering if his non-Maru wife cheated him with Demetrius or something, proceeding to state that he is the only black NPC in the game.... Completely hilarious, i still get some crazy laugh outbursts whenever i remember the deal!

If your character is a darker skin tone you can also have dark skin kids, but you can still be like, lighter in tone and get them. my friend's farmer i played with had a brown skin tone and got them while being married to abigail

edit: o yeah and your farmer's gender doesn't matter, i think regardless the children follow the same rules whether you/spouse gives birth or adopt
