NPCs are merging

Hi!
I am playing a solo moded game for the first time (I have a multiplayer vanilla too)
It appears that randomly some NPCs will decide to merge one day and sometimes to top it all get on an unreachable place so you can't even talk to them to try to trigger some event to make them split and go about their natural schedule. ( when i was able to reach them you can talk to all of them one after the other)
Quite unconvenient when one of the NPC is the object of a time sensitive quest and is just OOBing to spite you on the last day.
( I had NPCs just going through walls or over water walking very fast too but it happened a couple of times in vanilla also so for that i'm not blaming mods)

As an example, you get Andy doing Jesus over water (staying there not a lucky screenshot) and on the right ( un reachable place) you got Alex and Haley on top of each other ( we all know that if left alone they would like to be on top of each other but here it doesn't seem legit ^^)
No idea if it matters but we are end of summer (28th) year 3 around 15h30

i have a feeling it concerns map edges as sometimes people get stuck on the road between Marnie's and Jodi's at the screen change.... but here I can talk to them so sometimes they spread apart
