Windows Normal lunch working inconsistently

I use steam, and when I try to lunch Stardew Valley it takes forever to load in most times if I haven't played the game in a few days, but if I have, the game loads up almost instantly. This does not happen to any other game I have on steam, as well if I use the compatibility version of Stardew Valley. Ik I can just use compatibility but Idk if that I can play with others playing the normal version. And I do like to play with mods sometimes and I read somewhere that compatibility prevents you from playing with mods.

If you normally play with mods, that might be your problem. I think that either the total size or number of mods could cause an issue. Mods that take up a lot of space will take longer to load and can cause lag. But with how stardew valley works, SMAPI checks for updates for each of your mods, which itself could take a long time, especially if your internet connection is spotty. I think you could test this by turning off your computer's wifi and launching your game to see if that fixes the issue with loading time
