No Purple Mushrooms anywhere?

I've got to Spring yr 3 and only need the Purple mushroom to complete the last bundle of CC, but it has not turned up anywhere despite having ticked the box to make it possible to complete in year 1.

TM hasn't sold it...the Wizard has never gifted it to me..and even though I got a mushroom tree grow once, when chopped down I got 7 red mushrooms and not one purple.

I chose the fruit cave to get all the fruit without having to buy fruit tree's so don't have the mushroom cave....How can I get a purple mushroom if it's not randomly appeared yet in the first 2 years??

And if you don't get a mushroom tree that randomly appears on your farm, there's a way to get seeds to plant them. They're one of the cheapest items Mr. Qi's Walnut Room has to offer.

I did put a tapper on it though it didn't appear until near end of fall so only got 2 red mushrooms out it, then I read that you got red and purple if chopped it down so waited till last day of fall chopped it down but got 7 red ones!

Been giving the wizard his favourite essence's too but he hasn't gifted me one either. Tried Krobus too he hasn't had one so far! ..and Sandy doesn't seem to sell them in the desert.

In mines got to 87or 97 where its all green?? lots of red blobs to avoid, no rocks to dig up so couldn't find the exit...will have to go back with some steps... thought I'd read mushrooms appeared from level 81 but didn't get any on the first ones after 81 that I'd done so far....might start from level 80 again to see if one turns up.

I'd ticked the box to complete it in first year too so got the red cabbage seeds..they turned up but no purple mushroom from TM or truffle, rabbits foot, (had to wait until got a pig and rabbit for them) tilapia or catfish (Krobus had them luckily when they were last 2 fish I needed). ..so not sure how its meant to be possible to get everything in yr 1 with 5 items still missing from TM cart by yr 3?

You don't chop it down, you keep it throughout the year and it keeps producing during all seasons except Winter (and tbh I never saw a purple mushroom when I chopped mine down so I guess it is a very low chance). If the tree has produced either a red or a common mushroom it is likely it will produce a purple mushroom on the 10th and 20th of each season.
There is also a chance of finding it at the Skull Caves or level 81 and lower in the Mines, at Ginger Island's Mushroom cave (but this only opens after the Community Center is complete ) or occasionally at the traveling cart, and it is all random chance.

AFAIK, selecting the Year 1 CC option only guarantees the cart selling a red cabbage (or seeds) for the Dye Bundle, with all other bundle items being unaffected as they're otherwise obtainable through normal game play during the course of Year 1. This is because apart from being sold by the cart, the red cabbage is unique among the bundle items by only being available from Year 2 onwards.

The purple mushroom spawns as a forageable in the mines on floors 81+. Admittedly it's not a common spawn, but the easiest way is if you use the elevator to keep visiting floor 81. It's a very small floor that can be quickly checked, and if it doesn't spawn, just disappear up the ladder and come back down again to reload the floor - just do this all day and it will show up eventually.

You are pretty likely to find one on your way to the bottom of the mine. If you are struggling in the mine, you might need better gear. You want the sword with the highest damage, the boots with the best armor, and the best upgrade for your pickaxe. Better items become available as you go so check the adventure guild.

Does it appear under a rock after axing it or in one of the wooden boxes, dropped by a specific enemy or just out there on the floor to see instantly? I've no idea where I'm supposed to be looking to get one.

As far as spawning purple mushroom in the mines,
I spot them the most when you reach the levels below 100 (as an aside, my brain did a double take at putting “below” and “100” together… feels counter-intuitive). The deepest levels (110-119) have the highest concentration of the purple ‘shroom at least in my experience and gameplay on the Steam version of the game…

Those slimy levels are how infested levels show up lower down. You have to kill the monsters to get out. A stair *always* appears once you killed the last monater in them. On the plus side, they do not appear in the same place consistently.

As someone else said, if you're finding you need to dodge monsters and can't effectively fight them, you might want to look into getting better weaponry. And lots of buffing food.

They show up on the ground, just as if it was a dandelion (outside) or a piece of quartz.

Sometimes you get across what is called a mushroom floor, and on those you'll find heaps of red and purple mushrooms.

Mushrooms in the mines are like mushrooms in the Secret Woods, or any other forageable for that matter. They'll appear on the ground to be picked up; they aren't under rocks or in boxes, and they aren't dropped by monsters either.

Now trying to collect iridium for Willy's boat so got a super cucumber pond as heard it made iridium, but its only giving me super cucumber roe? ..am I supposed to do something else with it turn it into iridium? ..like you do with the sturgeon roe to turn into into caviar? ...couldn't see how pickling it would turn it into iridium!!!

Grats on getting the purple mushroom..

By far the quickest way to get iridium is in skull cavern. Go on a top luck day, drink coffees and eat spicy eels for the double speed buff and take bombs to blow up lots of stone quickly to find ladders, and lots of salads to healAnd damage without affecting the buff from the spicy eel. It shouldn't be too difficult to get down deep enough to quickly collect all the iridium ore you need.

If you don't fancy that, buy a statue of endless fortune from the guy in the casino, and you'll have five iridium bars reasonably quickly, probably within five weeks or so.

I wouldn't bother waiting for iridium from a fish pond; on average it'd take years for a pond to produce enough iridium ore to make the necessary five bars.

The easiest way to get iridium in year 3 is from the statue of perfection. It's a purple cat that gives 2-8 iridium every day. If you got 4 candles lit on Grandpa's shrine, just interact with the shrine to collect it. If you didn't get 4, you can put a diamond on the shrine to get evaluated again.

Yes, you can build a obelisk for ginger island
I like having a area with a mini obelisk right next to my farmhouse and one next to all the obelisks. The desert and ginger island are a must.

Yes, there are island totems.

If you keep exploring the island, you'll also find other ways to have more time.
Just like when you explore the mines or skull cavern, it's best to start a day on the island as early as possible.

The chance of getting iridium from the pond is low, it pretty mush has to be fully populated and even then its only a 4% or 5% chance. My pond hardly ever gives me iridium and I've had it for years. The nicest thing I've got from the pond is the purple hue of the water. Very cool. Good luck finding Iridium in the skull cavern though!
