No longer possible to delete "farmhands"?

I did the thing with cabins alright, but i want to delete the extra players and keep said cabins. In their list, individually, no longer the red circle with the line (delete) ever appears...

I remember being able to delete extra players before, at will and said symbol, used to appear.

What happened, or what did i miss, or what i'm doing wrong?

Keeping the players doesn't do anything negative. It may have been changed so that they're linked to cabins, but you can also go into your file and directly delete them (a hassle and more risky than worth though)

So long as you aren't editing the save file you'll still not be able to make more than 7 cabins even if they're unlinked from characters so there isn't really a point to deleting the ones not used (unlinking also doesn't change the ability to move certain things in each house, it still just says something like 'can't move this in another players house')

Alright! Seems i got stuck with 7 "ghost" players, but nevermind... Some grand empty space, is already secured. And if somebody will ever join me for local co-op with that gamepad, they can always sleep in main house's double bed or spare beds.
