I just downloaded the 1.6.9.48 update on iOS and have noticed a few bugs that weren’t on the previous version.
The first is that when playing with a wireless controller, there is no cursor on screen like the one that existed in previous updates. For example, while trying to adjust in-game settings, there is no way to select any of the options, you can only scroll up or down. This also affects gameplay as it is very difficult to move items around in your inventory while using a controller. Sometimes random items are selected and the player’s ability to select items while in the inventory is unreliable.
Another issue is the size and visibility of the toolbar, date box, and energy bar. Ever since downloading the update, the energy bar is cut off at the bottom corner of the screen, so once the player’s energy gets too low, it is impossible to see how much energy you have left without tapping on the energy bar (which can’t be done using a controller).
This visibility issue also affects the padding options for the toolbar, as it will overlap with the date box if adjusted so that the entire toolbar is visible on screen. (This is the only issue I’m able to post actual screenshots of, since the energy bar and toolbar are fully visible in screenshots but not in-game.) The toolbar gets cut off like the energy bar without increasing padding by a significant amount, which results in overlap of the date box. The only workaround for this issue seems to be reducing the size of the date box or switching to the vertical toolbar.
One last thing is I’ve noticed while scrolling through options is that mobile doesn’t have the option to “Always Show Tool Hit Location” like on PC and Console, which is very helpful to those who play with controllers, but I’m not sure if this is a bug or intentional.
For added context, I’m playing on the iPhone 15 Pro and my partner is playing on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and these issues are the same on both devices.
