New 1.5 Hopper Capabilities

I think it would be cool if we could have the Hopper be used to add hay to the silos as it empties each day. So it could be put behind any 1 silo and it add hay to all existing or the lone silo.

Silos shouldn't be emptying each day unless they have very little hay. Each can hold 240 hay.

Also, silos essentially ARE hoppers for the animal buildings... and the animal buildings all have a "hay hopper" in them, where you can take hay from the silos from inside every building, and then put it out on the feeding bench. They're better than the new hoppers too, as they can be anywhere on your farm and still function. If you have more than one, they function as a collective. (If you have two and check, it doesn't list just that silo's capacity and inventory, but the total hay in silos and the total silo capacity.)

If you want the feeding bench to be auto-filled, upgrade your barn/coop twice. The second upgrade includes the auto-feeder where hay is taken from your silos or the hay hopper and put out on the bench for your animals to eat if they need to, and all without you having to do anything except make sure the silos have hay in them.

No I understand all that. I have been playing for a long time. But I think it would be cool to have the new hoppers be able to deposit hay for you without you having to check or monitor it all the time. since the hopper has as much space as a chest. You could essentially just keep adding hay to it if you buy from Marnie if you don't utilize growing the grass for hay..

So... eliminating the need for all but 1 silo?

Seriously, 1 hopper can hold 35964 hay. This would allow you to destroy all but 1 of your silos to make space on your farm because 1 hopper can hold more hay than 149 silos.
