Needed Decorations for a Farm

Hey y'all,
I'm doing a little discussion for decorations which you think are absolutely needed or essential to a good Stardew Valley farm!

I'm mostly doing this post because I have been planning on re-doing my farm, I would love for it to have warm cottage/medieval time feel to it.
Sort of like how ConcernedApe's Haunted Chocolatier will be decorated, I'm going to really love the feeling that game has!

Some examples which I would love to hear is like which lampposts, fences, benches, etc. you like!
If you could provide some screenshots of maybe your farm or a friend's farm which has a feeling like this I would also love that!

Absoultely depends on theme and idea, I wouldn't say there are any universal essentials but you really can't go wrong with learning proper lighting and spacing (though can always go against either and create some 'cohesive chaos' which can work out when done right).

As for a cottage/medieval theme, I think a good focus would be large open cobble paths, probably a mix of finer cobble and the regular rocky pebble/gravel paths integrated into one another. Trees and some shrubbery/wheat fields/mills will go a long way, especially if you want it to have a sort of subtheme of medieval countryside which is probably what the farm itself best supports. Hardwood fences with some degree of breaking (rotting fences sporadically scattered about) would be a cool vibe (sprinkle in regular wood fences so you don't have to wait whatever 5 years for some to start breaking down), and fall would probably be the best vibe, especially with that aforementioned expansive wheat fields.

Can't offer too much in all honesty as I'm far from a proficient decorator if you know my designs. Good luck and make sure to share it when you're done or even your progress as you go though, I'm excited for your final product.

I like the stone walkway floor for the main paths around my farm, and the weathered floor for machine areas. The stepping stone path makes nice borders. Stone fence for areas like animal pens, iron fence for decoration. I almost always seem to go for the iron lampost. Pairs of fruit trees in front of my sheds, or a line of them behind. (I have a 'flower shed' with a row of cherry trees behind it, and an arrangement of flower beds with a border of beehives. Liberal amounts of the flower baskets, and a lot of the house plants look really nice outside - I'm rather fond of a few of the fancy ones from the prize machine, and some in the new furniture catalogues. Also, painting your buildings can

Basically I start with asthetics and then work in the production, lol. I like having a bit of everything and themed areas.
