My tools keep tilling/mining/working without me holding them down

I've tried basically everything to try and fix this and I don't know what else I can do. This is what I've done

• I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the game, mod launcher and the all my mods separately
• I verified my files
• I restarted my laptop and game multiple times
• I checked for updates and have everything updated
• I uninstalled anything that the game said would mess with my files
• It's not a mouse problem, I have a new mouse and it continues to do so
• I already have a content patcher installed in case that would be the problem

The only thing that stops the tilling is alt tabbing out of the game, then retabbing in. Even if I don't alt time at any point before it, it still continues to till. It's made playing the game really un-fun and I've looked everywhere else for help. Please help :(
