That's no moond, instead it's in the base game now: Pets can wear Hats.
And so can many other things so if you have an in-game day or two to spend, you might find it a fun time to walk around with your Hat in your hand, "accidentally" clicking/tapping on everything to find who can keep their head a bit warmer in Winter! I never remember the whole list until I click just the wrong right way and end up with ????? wearing my favorite Cat Ears.

I think the easiest way to remove a Hat is to hold another Hat and click your Cat, which should pop off the Hat it's currently wearing. It shouldn't put the second Hat on the Cat, you'd need to click the Cat with the Hat again to put it on.
Uhhh which has me thinking (always dangerous). We totally need a tall tophat with wide red and white stripes because, well... maybe I want a Cat In A Hat.
No noooo, not "The Hat" or that hat, there's copyrights n' stuffs out there. Just "A Hat" which may or may not be similar to other Historical Hats of interest...

I first switched to helmet to a dotted scarf (at least better) and then went to buy a little bow from the Hat Mouse. Seems to be random whether it removes or switches. I had the scarf focused and clicked -- got the cat with the scarf. Then I went to get the little bow, and it did not go there automatically. But anyway, a little pink bow looks cute on Missy.

I'm pretty sure you didn't put that helmet on the cat. Just a cat being a cat. Only thing missing in that pic is a box that it can fit one quarter of its butt into but will try anyways.

Yeah. When I hear (or see) my friends' telling about what their cats have done, I'm even more sure that I'm more a dog person (for the dog -- see my avatar. Varo the Phalène).
