I thought that my my museum was complete, but when I looked because it did not give me the achievement, the quartz is missing but Gunther will not accept one as new. Any Suggestions?

I know sometimes when I've placed an item that ends up directly under the "OK" button it ends up being picked up when I click OK. You can verify what you still need to donate by using MousyPounds StarDewCheckup tool. It might not be the quartz that you're actually missing.

I always donate the first of every artifact (other than the dinosaur egg) and mineral (other than the prismatic shard). With only those two exceptions, that means that I can easily see what's missing by checking my collections tab. Anything grayed out is something I have yet to find and donate. Does no one else do this? It greatly simplifies figuring out what is missing.

I think I've played through too many times, lol. I have the list memorized and the artifacts grouped in my head by type: bones, dolls, dwarf/elf, music, fossils, water, farming, fighting. I place the gems and minerals by colour and know I'm missing something when the colours don't fill the appropriate boxes.
