Question Museum Maximum

Hi y'all! I rarely play with mods, but I saw a few that looked fun so I'm doing a modded save right now.

A couple of the mods I'm using add minerals and/or artifacts to the game. These preview as "give to Gunther" like other minerals and artifacts until I donate them to the museum. My concern is that the museum size looks the same. Will I be able to continue donating items to Gunther after all the slots are full? Will the museum count as "complete" once all the spots are full even if there are artifacts that haven't been identified yet?

Thanks!!!! I think I will need to do this. My museum is already halfway full and I've barely started.
