Switch Multiple Issues on Switch After 1.6.9 Update

Hello -

My husband and I play co-op multiplayer on the Nintendo switch. Ever since we installed 1.6.9 on Monday, 11/4, we've encountered a number of issues that we didn't experience previously. Any time one of our characters lays down a bomb of firework, the game crashes. We experience really bad lag when using the kitchen to cook items or mining in general. We've also noticed that the volcano is completely empty and won't load properly. We tried uninstalling the Stardew Valley software completely, and reinstalled it, but nothing changed. Please let me know if there are any other suggestions for fixing the issues I'm describing, or let me know if more information is needed to resolve this issue. Thanks!

Same issue on the switch with multiplayer, any placing of a bomb causing an immediate crash

Same issues on Switch wth split screen lag. Seems that it started after recent update. On top of that my wife lost 6 cows, 1 goat, 1 sheep, 9 pigs, 10 ducks, a dinosaur and her desire to keep playing. PLEASE HELP this was the only game she would play with me.

I would suggest for now to wait until the release of new upcoming patches for the switch version which will address a lot of these issues, specifically performance problems and crashes. If you don't want to lose progress or items/animals then try not to use your saves at this point and start fresh for the time being without using bombs or triggering explosive effects. Otherwise, best thing to do is to not play it at this point and wait for the next patch - should hopefully be in the coming days.
