Switch Multiplayer mode bugs

Hi, I'm new here! I don't know if these bugs have been discussed already, but I've noticed these while playing on switch with multiplayer modes (both Split Screen and Online Co-op)

big asterisk ✳ here: a fair amount of this may just be, the Switch I have is an older model (as in, not the new model that just came out) and issues may, at least in part, be attributed to that.

Split Screen
  • Lag in gameplay for one or both players. This is not fun during combat because you can get hit during the lag!
  • There is a generic error where the Stardew game quits on you and/or doesn't save current progress (including while you are trying to save at the end of the day!)
I've tried troubleshooting this^ one, my suspicion (based on process of elimination) that the Switch is overheating/struggling to keep up.
  • Accessibility: While single player is pretty good with magnification settings, Split Screen is not. For example: on a TV screen item number quantities are too hard to read unmagnified. If magnified, an error occurs where during cut scenes, it is not possible to see the whole screen/all of what is happening in the cutscenes.

Online Multiplayer
  • Lag in gameplay, affects one player at a time
  • During lag or in general, processes the a single command (ie: I pressed Y once) multiple times, (as though I pressed it 10 times, etc)
  • Error where the game quits due to "server issue" and does not save

More features/improvements of bugs
  • Have game save if it suddenly quits? To resolve that aspect of quitting bugs. Or have auto save points throughout the day, so that at least you don't have to start the whole day over
  • Improve with "if lag then pause and save progress" or something like that
  • Have default magnification for the Backpack item display and any display where item numbers are displayed, any onter instances of small text - to improve accessibility on Switch.
  • (Cool feature request) Have an online mode where you can do Co-op cross-platform (ie: online multiplayer with Switch and PC, etc) which I don't think is a thing yet?
I think that's all the bugs, but I might add more to the thread if I remember something else

In online multiplayer
  • The lag on so many things! I know it's using a wifi connection, but woof, even simple actions like closing a chest can lag
  • Comparing online multiplayer with split-screen or single player: Online Multiplayer does not pause time while a chest is open. It seemingly never pauses time unless you go to the home screen. Single-player always pauses time for that, and Split-screen will pause time if both players have chests open. (Chests open is example of what normally pauses time, but other statuses, like during cutscenes, time should also pause).
