Switch Multiplayer freezes the mines and crashes my game.

Whenever I play co-op with my partner it seems the game can’t handle it. After playing for ~30 minutes I start to find floors like these in the mines. Everything is frozen so when you break anything it just floats and doesn’t go to the inventory. This even happens on treasure room floors so the chest doesn’t even open.
if my partner is cooking or shopping my FPS drops drastically after the initial smooth ~30 minutes. Because of this I have to close and reopen the game every hour or 2. Otherwise the FPS drops and frozen mine floors increase in frequency until the software crashes all together. Unfortunately, this has made the game very very difficult to play, let alone enjoy, on co-op as every time we start the software it’s just a race against time until it crashes on us during an iridium star day because I dropped a mega bomb in the mine at the same time as my partner cooked a fried egg..

Yep, same issue here still. We'd hoped the recent update fixed the crashing, but unfortunately our attempt to once again enjoy an evening of co-op play got thwarted by a crash yesterday.

We're not alone: the same issue is reported in this thread, this thread and this one.

Any updates from developers? Have the crashes been replicated? For us the game is unplayable!
