Do spouses get jealous if you give a marriage candidate a movie ticket?

I’ve been putting off asking Penny to the movies because I gave her a marriage bouquet before marrying Abigail. (Same sex) I googled the question already, but haven’t found any answers there or the wiki.

I was wondering if the movie ticket counts as a gift? I don’t want to make Abigail jealous - but want to take Penny to the movies. Anyone know?
