Question Mod performance?

I read the modding instructions in Wiki and there it says that repacking the mod files into xnb:s is unnecessary. (of course it makes sense only if you replace a whole module).
But does it affect performance if the whole game (or almost) is used unpacked?
I'm working on a translation mod (Stardew Finnish), which of course replaces everything (or nearly everything; most graphics is untouched, I suck at graphics editing) containing text, so there are scores of modules.

(Re packing and unpacking: is it possible to speedunpack everything with xnbhack but then pack with xnbcli those files that are compatible? I have a faint memory that the files from hack couldnt be repacked)
