Mixes

Do you give much attention to different mixes and editions of specific songs and albums? For example Nevermind has the Devonshire Mixes and the Remastered version. Also the normal version of the album. So for your favourite artists and albums do you have a strong preference to a certain version or will you listen to any version of it?

I personally am a bit of a snob regarding to some songs. For example I don't really like the Remastered tracks of Nevermind. Smells Like Teen Spirit sounds way too polished. But I will listen to any version too.

Sometimes I'll listen to a mix of a song I like, but they're usually pretty minor changes, same goes with complete remixes unless I really like someone's take on a song.

I do occasionally find a hidden gem of a remix and listen to it nonstop for a while, though.
