iOS Missing Golden walnuts (127/130) on ios tablet device. How to recount?

Missing 3 golden walnuts. Went back to every location, puzzle, and means of obtaining with no success in finding the missing nuts! Going nuts! ConcernedApe, can you provide a bug fix for IOS, or does anyone of you wizkids (I’m a senior) know of a way to recount the walnuts as part of the latest 1.5 version? In other words, is there a way to access the save data to correct the count, or any other solutions available to mobile users? This is the only thing preventing me from reaching PERFECTION, so any help is greatly appreciated! Ape, thanks so much for creating this truly amazing game! It keeps my brain active. LOL!

First thing I would to is upload your save to the stardew checkup and see if you're truly not missing any. It'll tell you if the actual count us different from the games count, and also which ones you're missing.

If you do have a miscount, the console command is not available on mobile because there is no chat console, but you can edit the file by hand.

Brilliant! Thanks for the link, Ereo. I was so unaware of this information, and man, it was so informative. I’m still in a quandary as the Golden Walnut count showed that the missing walnuts were connected to Journal notes #4, #6 and #10. I did activate these notes subsequent to finding them, but went back to double check. The walnuts were no longer retrievable as suspected. So, I think my save did not add them to my count. You mention that I might be able to edit the count by hand (No Console chat). Can you provide more detail on that as I haven’t the vaguest idea how to go about that (thank goodness for legends!). It did not appear possible to open the file, so appreciate your help!

You'll need a text editor to open the file. Always make a copy of the file and work with that, so in case you mess up the file you have a backup.

Thanks again! Love a challenge so I‘ll give it my best shot (what do I have to lose?). It’s only a game, and like in the real world, perfection is difficult to obtain! Lol. Stardew Valley forum is like Pelican Town, replete with great folks!

I obtained the Statue of Perfection thanks to all of your guidance, Ereo! Giving me the link to Stardew Checkup was the game breaker, as it pinpointed the tasks I needed to accomplish. Turns out that for me, there was no glitch (sorry, ConcernedApe!). After failing to save the file as a text file (there really doesn’t seem to be a path for Ipad users), it begged the question that it was my omission! Yeah, turns out that was the problem. Lol! I didn’t read half the Journal Notes and threw most away. I had to go back to find the missing notes and READ them this time around. Doing this took several trips back to the Volcano and daily fights with tiger slimes! Several bombs later, I finally retrieved each of these notes (#4 ,#6, #10, and all the others I didn’t read), which thankfully are programmed to respawn for dumb dumbs like me! Notes in hand, I dug up the three missing walnuts! Yay! I could not have done this without your help, my friend! Since this game has been my second life, it means the world to me that I belong to this awesome community. You all are really positive, helpful and fun. Keep gaming, and I’m sure that I’m joining everyone in hoping for more content in this amazing game! Peace.
