I think a setting that adds a "menu transparency" slider would be beneficial, time stops when the menu is paused and while you can resize it to see slightly more making the menu too small makes gameplay difficult. As long as the slider does not let you go to 100% transparency (or if the "menu backgrounds" setting overrides the transparency setting) then you wouldn't be able to accidentally get rid of the menu. It would also be nice to be able to see through the tool bar a little instead of just resizing or auto-repositioning.
I know its not a major thing, but after searching a bit I didn't see anything and I think it would be a great QOL for players who are already used to the menu and toolbar
