You have to wait until George is one of the villagers chose to run a booth for it to be available though.

Unfortunately no you can't. It is exclusive from George's desert festival shop.
I had to do dynamic seeding because I really wanted that TV so badly and I couldn't find it in the catalogue.

Yes, I've been finding that some items are only available through different Villagers selling them at their stalls. But who'll be in the stalls each day? That's set either by RNG or your game seed (not sure which, probs seed) so that means if you want a particular item you saw in a video or in the wiki, you may be waiting a loooooong time for it.
And you need not to miss a Desert Festival day which IMO is fine as the new Festivals are a real fun part of the game. I'm waiting for a particular item to show up but luckily for me, it's Winter right now so I have NO idea what it was and who needs to sell it because remembering from like 3 seasons ago isn't gonna happen. And frankly I'm going to keep it that way to keep the frustration levels down, I just hope I recognize it when it shows up!
