making the wedding ring

I'm very desperate at this point, please could someone help me out with this problem? I have a couple questions. Does the animal name cheat still work on switch? im trying so hard to get the prismatic shard and enough iridium bars to make the wedding ring for my boyfriend, and after a 37 hour farm I only have two iridium bars. If this cheat doesn't work anymore, could someone please give me some guidance on how I could manage this? its our anniversary tomorrow and I really wanna try get this done for him. any help is very much appreciated!! The name exploit is not available on consoles because it caused crashes, so it was patched over. Sorry.

Your best bet is grinding the Skull Cavern.

You can't mod consoles right? If so the cheat mod is out of the question.

Is there any way to just spawn a prismatic easily besides SC? I know I've gotten my first Prismatic from omnigeodes on multiple saves before, but it's not exactly a common thing.

Yeah, you might want to check out some of the threads with tips for Skull Caverns, that's really the only way. Sorry. If you can get to floors 70-100 at least, you'll be able to get a lot more iridium and you'll have a decent chance at a shard (4% chance per iridium node).
That level is definitely more than doable with bombs, food, and speed and luck buffs. But if you only care to go down there once, and you want to do it soon (i.e. without much time to practice), stairs would be easier if you can get them. If you've got jades, you can trade them with the Desert Trader on Sundays for staircases. You can also just straight-up buy stone from Robin, if you've got the cash.
