Switch Local Splitscreen Co-Op 1.6 Issues (updated for 1.6.9.37)

Good morning everyone :)
Our findings in the first ~10 hours of starting a new 1.6 standard farm, two players on local switch in Co-Op:

- performance is similar to before 1.6 for us with that short lag every once in a while (and the unplayable dinosaur rooms in the mine...)
- sometimes on one floor of the mine unable to pick up any item/loot and stuck weapon animations. stairs show up and work, next floor usually fine
- several times the host couldn't open the treasure chest in the mine, had to leave and return
- after festivals, the time and light for the guest player takes another few seconds to change to night (still shows e.g. 10 AM and daylight first)
- fishing sound is not enjoyable :D

- the worst: game crashed 5-6 times completely back to switch home-screen. mostly during normal playing, out of nowhere. once even crashed while in the summary of the day screen...
-> this especially doesn't make for a relaxing experience, keep waiting for it to happen and have to re-do all the things for that day :(


Still enjoying exploring all the new things though, already counting the hours until home from work!

Update for 1.6.9.37:

- bombs work now
- the fishing sound is mostly fine
- sometimes on one floor of the mine unable to pick up any item/loot and stuck weapon animations - now this only happens to the host player
- after festivals, the time and light for the guest player takes another few seconds to change to night (still shows e.g. 10 AM and daylight first) - still happens (no big issue!)
- not sure if bug or bad luck, we didn't have a single rain day in fall...so no chance to catch some fish.

- and still the worst, the completely random crashes, mostly towards the end of the day or even in the end-of-day screen

I am having these same issues on Xbox with 4 player split screen. Random crashes to desktop, we made it to day 10 of year 1 and had to redo three whole days after crashes. :(

All of the above still happening, it also crashed on a day where nobody went to the mine.

In year two now, not sure when exactly - pet-cat disappeared completely, also gone from 'animals' list....

The worst one of course is the crash of game that happens regularly between 4-6 in hame days everytime. I noticed closing the game and re opening delays this crash so for now on important days such as harvest/planting thats what I do so I dont have to re-do the whole day again.
Also I dont know if it happens to everyone but during first year with exception of gauranteed raind 3rd of spring and 1 green rain during summer during our play through we did not get a single day of rain which stopped us completing the community bundle because of the fish tank. Rain works normally during second year.
Forgot to mention our pet cat also disappeared sometime in year one.

We also started to close the game every few in-game days now, in the hopes to reduce the crashes - good idea :D

It's good to hear that there might be more rain in year two, still waiting to catch a walleye.

I kept checking the traveling cart and was able to get on during summer instead of waiting for fall. You should try that might get lucky.

Just started ginger island today and we encountered 2 new bugs on Ginger island specific to volcano. (Switch co-op split screen)
If player 2 goes inside volcano before player at any of the levels/floors, the floor will not load rocks or any monster. They can keep going till level 5 where the dward is in there the floor will be loaded but path will br blocked by a river that stops from going forward.
Also when we reached level 10 after entering it the game just keep throwin us back to level 9 at entry way to level 10 each time we moved forward so we were stuck and couldnt progress anymore.
 
Has anyone had an issue of wooden fences breaking (due to wind/thunderstorm) and then the fence continues to break over several more days until it’s gone? I’ve had all of my wooden fences do this on co-op split screen.

Also our dog disappeared after 3 seasons or so. Gone forever which is really disappointing, but we are far enough in that we don’t want to start over.
