Switch Local split screen switch - Pet disappeared

We are playing on switch on local split screen coop and our cat has gone missing but the water bowl remains full.

Playing on v.1.6.9 build 37. Using two pro controllers. In-game language set to English.

Cat disappeared in summer of year 1. It has completely disappeared from the pets screen and I can move the pet bowl at robin’s but the water remains full.

We won’t be able to achieve perfection if this isn’t fixed so not sure if we should start a brand new save entirely or if this is a constant issue

Exactly same bug but in french
V1.6.9 build 37 on Switch.
Local Split screen coop.
In summer of year 1.

I had the same issue but the original cat with max hearts disappeared along with the two new one but the dog and turtle were unaffected. We had continued our multi-player farm from Winter Year 4.
