Issue Local File!

Hiii,
I was trying to install mods and apparently, I have to open my 'mod' folder under the 'Stardew Valley' game folder. However, there's no mod folder but only a content folder?
I tried to reinstall the game but I still can't see any mods folder...
Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Thank you!

(btw I'm using Macbook pro)

Make sure you have downloaded and installed SMAPI, which creates the mods folder and installs a couple utility mods for you.
