I have had a local co-op game for the past few years but since the update to 1.6.9.36 my co-op partner's main character has been removed.
In the past the co-op character got stuck in a black room on the island. We tried to get the character back but thought it was completely lost. At that point we created a new cabin and made a new character using the same Xbox profile as the original so that we could continue to play co-op on the same save. We never ended up playing with the new character as we realised starting again with no tools or skills would take a long time. Months later we managed to get the original character out of the black room and could continue playing as normal.
Since the update to 1.6.9.36 the main character on the co-op player's Xbox account is not visible when we try to start a local co-op game, we can only see the second character. Both cabins are still on the farm but all upgrades have been removed from the main co-op character's cabin so all of the decorations are outside of the room when looking at it from the inside. We can not access the cellar or chests in this cabin.
I have attached a screenshot of the inside of the main co-op cabin.
This is on the Xbox version of the game both profiles are using controllers and the save is in English.
Any help to get the main co-op character back is appreciated as this character had over 150 hours playtime, the second character on that account was never used. Thanks
