Lightning Struck My Red Cabbage

I got a red cabbage seed from the traveling merchant at the start of summer, year one, and it got struck by lightning a couple days after being planted. I was so annoyed.
The next week TM took pity on my farmer and sold him a red cabbage though, so at least it worked out in the end. ^_^

I'm picturing the Junimos quietly spriting away your poor crispy red cabbage, nursing it back to health and fully grown and then sneaking it into the travelling merchant's cart for you to find.

(I feel your pain though, the first rarecrow I ever got, I placed in my field and it got destroyed by weeds overnight. I think that's fixed now.)

I did not know scarecrows could be destroyed by weeds. I really hoped that's fixed, too. That would be so much worse.
