i wanted to share this from 3 days of fishing :) i’m saving up for my golden clock and was pretty happy with this. i always check for the quest to help me make some money, i don’t catch the other 4 fish, just this one. i also have 3 ponds with this fish. :)

If you want some tips on making money
roe is worth half the cost of the fish, you'll get more money in the long run
then age the roe, doubling that amount of money
then if you're an artisan, you get 1.4x that
the aged roe would be worth more than the actual fish
best you can get is 7,084 per roe
just suggestions on how to get money
the golden clock is quite a bit

however, 341,250g for the 13 fish is 26,250 per fish, which is quite a lot

I think doing a mixture of both would be best for getting the gold clock quickly, but doing roe would be a bit more relaxed, just have to ocasionally add some fish, and check the fish ponds, but then you can do whatever you want

I'm realizing I vastly misunderstood the value in this quest. When people talked about getting multiple legends, I thought that was from multiple quests. I didn't realize I could have been getting multiple legends with the same open quest. Awesome!!!

If you want to complete it and still get multiples of Legend II, you fish up 3 of the other fish first, then go fish at the lake for the rest of day 1. Day 2, you spend all day fishing for Legend II. Day 3 you start out at the lake and fish for Legend II until 6-9 pm depending on how short window you feel you can give yourself, then go for the last fish and be prepared to reset the day if you don't catch it before 1 am.

If you don't care about completing the quest, just fish for Legend II all of the 3 days.
