Four Corners Farm Leaving the farm once a month (besides spring)

As the title suggests, I left the farm only once a month and not on spring year 1 to add difficulty of not having the backpack/fishing rod.

I am now on summer 5th year 2 and here are some things I did:
Full barn of 12 pigs
Same barb willed with ~50 preserves jars and ~90 kegs, some kegs outside too

500 starfruit field with dsg. I also bought another 500 starfruit so I have enough for two harvests and then a bunch of wheat which will make sure the dsg lasts for 3 pumpkin harvests.

Greenhouse fully filled with 104 ancient fruit and 18 peach trees.

Very big tree farm/s

I have also upgraded both my watering can and axe and the axe is going in for the iron upgrade during summer as I have 4000 wood staockpiled which will hopefully last the season

I have made 1,570,000g during this time. I made nearly a million in year 2 spring and that was without a watering can.

Overall I just want to witness the struggle and reward of this challenge, I had a few mess ups like forgetting oil makers require 50 slime (like what the hell, why?) where slime is super hard to get on this challenge because the setting to turn on farm monsters didn’t exist when I created this farm (2-3 years ago and I forgot about it until now)

WOW you give me so many ideas to spend hours of my time thank you Filthy Gorilla 🙏
But wow that is impressive
Don't thank me, there was some old youtube video from years ago that inspired me and someone else doing something similar recently made me decide to pick the save up again.

It's not all that impressive either, I didn't reset anything, slept most of the days, and the most "grindy" thing I did on this save file was clay farm in spring for cash. You could definitely do this same thing and do it way better than I did, also just leave the farm during spring, it doesn't add much not doing it and it's more fun, if I were to do this challenge again I would leave late spring and buy the joja membership, upgrade my watering can or axe, and get the backpack and fishing rod.

If you do choose to do this or something like it, good luck and do share it, I'd enjoy seeing it.

I have played a while more, with great profit months in summer and fall (1 Million and nearly 3 million respectively), I have just started winter year 2 and am looking forward to what lies ahead, I was rich enough in fall to finally invest in sprinklers and my beautiful tree farms are going to slowly dwindle down and be replaced by crop fields and other infrastructure.

I still have only met about a quarter of all people while having completed joja and made nearly 6 million total, kind of crazy.

Used my watering can for one of the last times, 56 days straight of watering 511 crops and that's the end of hand-watering for me, waaaaay too much, my soul is weary.

Farm is looking happy and healthy with 100 quality sprinklers and 16 regular for a total of 864 watered tiles
I think I might get another 70-80 sprinklers and completely replace the bottom left of the farm with crops.
That will leave me with a keg problem though, not really the production of kegs but the fact that there is nearly no space to put them. I can't have them off the farm, can barely make any buildings and definitely not at an acceptable rate, and the farm itself is being covered in crops.*
At least for now, I think this is plenty enough crops to last a long while, I only have 60 jars and about 200 kegs, and with deluxe speedgro I'm getting 9 harvests of crops a year.
I think after summer and fall yr 2 this farm is largely over, I don't have the spark that came with the first gameplay, and now it's just a regular farm with limits on the things I like to do (skull cavern primarily) and I might need to slightly alter the rules going forward, or stay integral to the challenge and leave it for now. As many of you might know, I'm not really one to ever "finish" a farm, and would like to see how far this goes.*

The main challenge right now is the mines actually, my ability to progress in the mines is severely limited due to the obvious massive time constraints I have. I am barely able to progress 5 levels every time I leave the farm as I always need to buy crops, upgrade a tool and buy ores, buy crab pots and bait, and make buildings.
I might just pop up the predictor one day and get down the mines and fast.

*A potential solution to both these problems is allowing myself to visit places or just the desert with warp totems, I think the beach and mountains aren't very fun, but having to collect a ginger island warp totem every single time I am there just to leave sounds like it could offer a nice challenge, it would also allow me to have some fun in skull cavern, right now as it is, the desert is probably many years away solely due to iridium.
Desert warp totems are very easy to get though and farm ones too, (at least once I unlock the casino which I was lucky enough to get a rainbow shell for, two in fact)

That's just my thought process on this farm, I don't think I'll push perfection as that seems like an utter pain but you never know, I don't think anyone has achieved perfection with a challenge quite like this, would be a lot of sleeping and doing 4 villagers at a time (1 birthday each month to try and minimize loss of friendship from not ever seeing them). Fish would also be an utter pain and I'd also need to sacrifice 2-3 years of outings simply to attend festivals. If I ever got the island though, I would be able to stay there too, but only travel via warp totems if I didn't want to wait an entire month to use the boat.
