Why is he looooooking straight at me? Um, ok at my cool shoes. <they are pretty darn awesome> Whatever it's the straight-onness which is disconcerting. For instance I didn't know he had wide set eyes.
Frankly I didn't know he had more than one eye and my headcanon is that he wears an eyepatch on the other and the habitual side-eye is all a coverup. Maybe that other eye here is just painted on or really good makeup!
