Windows Laptop Requirements! Please Help!!

Hello! I’ve been playing stardew on my switch lite for about a year now and I’ve recently been interested in modding, however I don’t have a PC or laptop and I have no idea what laptop would be good for mods as I’m not very techie. Would someone be able to recommend a laptop that would be good for stardew and help it run smoothly? Thank you! ( or would a PC be better? I have no idea what I’m doing!)

Almost any laptop from the last 10 years or so will run Stardew Valley well though the more mods you add can bring that performance down. I don't mod yet so can't speak to how that goes or which mods require more performance. I've run v1.5 well on a 15 year old MacBook Pro and v1.6 on 12 year old MacBook Pros and 10 year old PC laptops.

I've managed to run mods easily on my dad's like four year old MacBook, and they do well.
It only takes a bit of look up to figure out how and where to put mods, and once you go there it'll have a bookmark or something like that for easier access.
