Switch Krobus Roommate Bug

I'm not currently dating or married to any of the characters in the game. I have 10 hearts with Krobus and an upgraded farmhouse. I tried to give Krobus the Void Ghost Pendant to be roommates and it is not working. Also trying to give Krobus the Void Ghost Pendant only opens menu to Krobus's shop.

Please help fix bug!
