Koi Pond

Either as a new type of purely decorative fish pond - or, on the main map, convert the mini-lake into one, but I think it'd be cool if we could maybe catch a wild carp, and then have Robin either modify the pond, or build a new fish pond, and start a decorative koi fish pond. Not harvestable, but maybe it can work on luck what colors you can see after time (or, what colors you can get can give a boost to luck?), or it can give the fairy/witch something else to interact with on the farm.

I honestly just like decorative stuff, and the ponds we have now can change color for certain fish, and fish can jump out of the pond, and yes this idea is probably useless, but I think it could be cute.

As an aquarium owner myself, I would love anything that allows the player to collect alive fish. Your idea is just awesome!

That's a great suggestion! Maybe an alternate implementation of this would be for fish ponds to display the fish that are in them?

I love this idea! A new 'Koi' fish that we can catch and converting a pond on our farm sounds really lovely. Maybe this fish could be similar to the flowers in that we can catch them with different colors/patterns? :)

I'm not sure what the difference is between the two ponds. Harvestable is just another way to say you can remove the fish from it, right? You can already see fish jumping from the ponds. I don't think you can have a pond that increases luck either, since that could lead to a lot of luck stacking, and luck isn't supposed to be super stackable.

One upgrade I'd like is for the pond be able to allow ducks to swim in them though. It's a little annoying that you have to put your coop beside running water to get the ducks to swim.

I think you could add it as a farm upgrade from Willy, Robin, or the Wizard that requires you giving them x number of carp (among other things, like stone) to convert the small pond into a koi pond. Maybe the carp become orange koi fish after the pond is complete.

Using regular carp as starter fish and then adding items to the pond to color the fish could work. Maybe coal or something like it for black fish? Perhaps you just get a standard mix of orange, black, and speckled ones for everone.
