Switch Kicking Krobus out crashes the game

I apologize if this topic has been covered before in other posts but I wanted to report it.
The issue is if I go to kick out Krobus the game crashes when I go to sleep and prevents me from starting the next day. I have tried this on two separate days and was able to replicate it both times.
I am playing on version 1.6.9.37 on the Nintendo switch.
Unfortunately I am unable to upload the save file because I am on switch.
I am playing on English on a single player farm using the joy con controllers.
Something that may potentially be relevant is Krobus was my roommate before 1.6 came out so potentially the game doesn’t know how to handle it? Also in game I am on the green rain event but I had this problem on a previous day as well so I don’t believe that would cause the issue.

ya, its happening on Xbox as well. Spent almost a month fishing, farming, cave diving to find out Krobus is basically a squatter once invited into my characters home. Gives one stardrop & some food here and there, then generally just mopes around doing nothing. It'd be great if he could know how to gather products from around the farm, store em in something & be productively useful. I was trying to kick him out thru the mayors office, like 10 times in a row, it just dashboards me & doesn't save. Multiple save files, I was like 60% into perfection completion on one & this happened. Caught all fish, about 4 artifacts & minerals left to find. Tons of shipping left & i would've reached the summit by my 4th or 5th year. Yeah, the game said NOPE. It's like he really don't wanna leave. Just hoping it gets fixed before this other project Haunted Chocolatier gets started or even if it is fixed while that's in production, that'll be cool also. Anyone else have this issue, their input is valued.

I am having the same issue. I'm on year 5 and decided I wanted children lol. But my game keeps crashing every time u try to kick him out :cry:

I am having this problem as well. I tried a bunch of other things to see if it was really trying to evict Krobus that was crashing the game, and yep, if that’s the only thing I do in a day, the game won’t save and it crashes.
