Keyboard Only (Steam)

Is there a way to remap the mouse function in the game to something on the keyboard (also could I remap wasd to up,down,left,right) or the numpad? Controllers don't seem to work for steam at the moment (game is treating it like a mouse and it's very frustrating)

So there is a software called GlovePIE that lets you remap inputs and outputs Windows-Wide, which looks like itll work for my needs.

(This will also be useful for pranks on coworkers and friends)
Sorry for making this distracting thread. I spent the whole day yesterday trying to get a controller to work with Steam to no avail and I don't like using the touchpad for games.

Edit: -sigh- I'm randomly picking up furniture amongst other weird accidental things because of the mouse position when I use this. Guess I'll buy a mouse for my laptop. I really wish controllers worked with 1.5. I'm not comfortable using WASD for movement but I'll guess I'll have to get used to it since my right hand will be occupied by the mouse.

I use controller only on steam, it works very well :/

What kind of controller do you use ? (mine is XBox one : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B06XB761HW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )
Can you see it in controller menu of Windows ? Does it work well there ? (to open it, push "windows" key, type "controller", and click on "Set usb game controller")

I'm using a PS4 controller. I can use the controller to start the game in steam but once the title screen comes on it doesn't do anything.

It shows up as Wireless Controller in the Set USB game controller. I used the InputMapping 1.7 to make the computer think it was an Xbox 360 controller and it's still not doing anything.
Edit: when I press the middle PS button an Xbox menu for widgets will pop up for like Chat and screenshots and that's it.

FIXED: I had the Launch Options slightly wrong. It was still loading SMAPI but it wasn't connecting steam to it while loading.
