I've seen a couple reports on this glitch, but I thought I'd bring mine to attention because it's pretty frustrating when trying to 100% the game.
I have all of the journal scraps on Ginger Island except for the last one, #11. I was extremely unlucky in the RNG and wasn't able to find it, so I looked up how to get it. I was told that it is given as a reward for winning darts three times in the Pirate Party.
Fast forward, I completed the darts three times and was happy to get golden walnuts, but no journal scrap. I thought, okay, maybe I need to win a perfect game or something. So I played darts until I got a perfect game and still no journal scrap or reward.
I looked up the issue, and I found that the scrap can sometimes be found when fishing in the frog cave (if the player was unable to receive it through the darts game). So, I fished there for a few in-game days and only got trash and a ton of frog hats. Maybe the source I used was wrong and the darts game has nothing to do with getting the scrap, and my RNG has just been really unlucky, but I thought I'd report here just in case.
For extra details that might help decipher the main problem, I play on an IOS device, and I'm currently playing Stardew on version 1.6.15
I thought I'd also add that I DID trigger the event on the menu to access co-op early, although this was a singleplayer world I was in. I assumed that accessing co-op early would introduce a few bugs here and there, so I'm not entirely surprised. If anyone knows a workaround or I did something wrong, please let me know.
