It would be neat if mushroom trees had a special interaction with mushroom logs

Right now mushroom trees are severely obsoleted by mushroom logs, AND don't do anything special to the logs, nor do the logs do anything special to them. It would feel thematically appropriate if one made the other better (or both made each other better!) in some unique way. I'm not saying they have to be competitive with mystic trees (purple mushrooms from the logs), but maybe have a reason to mix some mushroom trees in? Raise the count above 5, raise frequency of iridium quality higher similar to trees being mossy, introduce chance of magma cap shrooms? Just something!
