Issue issues installing error handler, reinstalled smapi 8 times, game wont load at all with mods

i have been trying to install stardew valley expanded for 2 days now, everytime i load up in steam the smapi loader comes up but then just disappears and the game never loads. i put my log into the smapi log parser and it tells me that error handler mod is not installed and to reinstall smapi, i have done this several times, alloed access through all my firewalls and updated my driver, i have also reinstalled the game 3 times and restarted my laptop multiple times, the game loads when i dont try to run with mods please help!! i am on windows btw :)

I've been having this same issue.
I've installed everything needed for the new update, deleted all the game files, smapi files, startup preferences, and reinstalled them
I've done every suggestion and still- nothing
I play through steam and I CAN play on compatibility mode but I can't use mods
I was able to play with mods perfectly fine before this new update but now the vanilla game won't even start if not on compatibility
I have a 64bit system and with my specs it should be able to run it

I've been waiting a year for any update so I can finally play with mods again

This is so frustrating :/
