Not if the files are copied into another directory before extraction, to keep things orderly. There might be an easier way, some directory someone has already extracted them to somewhere on GitHub maybe. That is just the first thing that turned up in Google since I's been reading about decompiling the game code anyhow (I figured I might as well unpack the images at the same time and still had this tab for this open, so linked it).
Most games compress the assets to keep game size small, so they have to be extracted somehow. They aren't often sitting in useable formats for immediate grabbing.
