Is there a certain amount of days for 1 heart?

I’m just wondering how many days, roughly, it takes to up one heart with a villager? If you’re giving two gifts a week, and talking every day, roughly how many in-game days?

Lots of factors here (but not exhaustive):
- Whether or not you have things that boosts friendship (Friendship 101 Book, Statue of Blessings buff)
- Whether or not you have "neglected" them (Not talk to them, etc.)
- Whether or not you are spoused to them - Influences how often you can gift items
- Gift quality (Iridium, Gold, Silver, Normal)
- Gift reaction (Loved, Liked, Neutral, Dislike, Hated)
- Special occasion (Birthday, Feast of the Winter Star)
- Spoiler item that gives a crazy boost (Stardrop Tea)

In theory, you can max out a person's heart in one day haha.

I like to use an achievable early game rule of thumb of:

Talk each day
2 :silverstar: liked Gifts each week (on average)
:goldstar: liked Gift saved for their Birthday

So what does that get us? There are 250 Friendship points per .

20 points per Talk =140 each week
45 * 1.1 :silverstar: points per Gift, plus the 2-gift bonus of 10 points = 110 each week
45 * 1.25 :goldstar: * 8 Bday points for the Birthday Gift = 450 once a year

This means you make a total of 250 points each week just talking with 2 modest Gifts, exactly what you need for one . And a good liked Birthday Gift gets you almost 2 whole  that day. So over a half year, you can take any Villager up to 8  and those with Birthdays in that half year just about to 10 !

Bonuses:

Loved :goldstar: Gift for Birthday = 800 points, or 3 !
Loved :iristar: Gift for Birthday = 960 points or almost 4 !
Delivery requests from the Board are 150 points, 60% of a
Cutscene choices can award (and subtract or do nothing to) depending on what you say
Some Events like making a good Luau Soup also get you community  with everyone
The Feast of the Winter Star Gift gets a 5x Multiplier, so a liked Gift gets 280 :goldstar: or 248 :silverstar: points, another .

Just some quick additions too, if a villager is 'busy' (in any sort of action like Gus washing a mug behind the counter, Robin dancing, etc.), you'll only get half the friendship from talking (10 points instead of 20)
You get an extra 10 points if you give both gifts per week, doesn't amount to much but it adds up (and can make up for a day you talk while the npc is in an action)

Spousal friendship is cut down to 1/3 that of regular friendship gain since 1.6 iirc (and 1/2 before that in mostly recent versions), though first day kiss is still a fixed 10 points.
