Is it possible to play this game without ever interacting with the wizard and the fortune teller?

I have never played this game before but I was wondering, is it possible to play this game without ever interacting with the wizard and the fortune teller?

You Can definitely avoid the fortune teller, she only really shows up at one festival and far enough from the rest of the action you can walk around.

If you want to rebuild the Community Centre as a Community Centre instead of the Jojamart Warehouse, you will need to talk to the wizard at least once after he sends you a letter, as he is the one who enables you to understand what items you need to complete that. It involves small magical apple shaped beings, though, so if your objection is to any presentation of magic, you're locked into the pro-Joja route.

You probably wouldn't ever need to talk to him again if you didn't want, though.

(there's also a good fairy that blesses your crop and a witch who curses some eggs, and there's a question if the Dwarf is magic or an alien, and Krobus and the monsters in the mines are almost certainly magic.)

If you want to, sure, you just won't be able to complete the Community Center and certain other quests without talking with the Wizard. As for the fortune teller, you can only run into her at one festival or at the casino. Otherwise the only time you'll "see" the fortune teller is if you choose to watch her TV show to find out what your daily luck is.
