Is anyone else as sick with modding and the recent tons of updates as I am.

I’m literally quitting modding until they get it finalized and figured out for good. Actually playing non modded on mobile has been a refreshing change of pace. I’m sure I’ll take to and love modding again one day but until they figure out all the new patches after patches, mods working then not working then working then not working, updates after endless updates, deleting and reinstalling, not to mention redoing GMCM each time to play I’m officially taking a modding break. Give the Ape and his team a month or two to finalized things, then the modders time to do their thing, and see if I miss it enough to try again. I’m sure I will, cause it has been super fun until now, certainly I’m not alone in this. Ever since 6.9 and up things went haywire for PC modders. We are up to 6.14/15 now I think? I am SOOOOOO thankful I use mods and don’t make them. I can’t imagine their stress levels right now. I feel so sorry for them. 🫤

I'm trying to "migrate" my mods and I'm going nuts. Everything is turned upside down. Things have been moved to different locations, and there's no easy documentation of that.
OK I was making a translation mod and the new order is more logical (and also language items are in fewer files). But I was not expected another helterscelter from a minor update and my translations were in wrong files, needing a tedious checking with comparing files moving things around and being again at the point of starting a game again and again to find yet another missing or extra comma or the like (i.e. typos that break the files).
I thought I could use the old structure in Mods and then the translations would not work. etc. etc...

I'm not really sure what could be done to mitigate this, as the wiki provides guides for authors to update their mods, and a lot of 1.6's relevant changes were in order to make modding easier in the future. Any moddable game will experience issues like this with updates, and every big update to Stardew comes with many patches to smooth out issues in the new content.

Maybe I'm not a genius (and besides I'm feverish and coughing today), but I've been reading those Guides backwards and forwards and not found the relevant items. Like one very odd change (or maybe it was solved in json assets that's now obsolete, but not in the current CP: I had a line "Category: ArtisanGoods", and got an error message that it requires a number. However I searched I could not find any numbers in documentation. Finally I found numbers (at a fast glance not in any logical order...) in the source code (which I had because I was making a full translation of the game).
OK I know that those things are done mainly by volunteers, and usually the thing that's left halfway is just documentation. Meaning everyone hits their head into the same wall. I'm also a volunteer. And when I get from incomprehensible error messages to finally comprehensive error messages and then back to incomprehensible ones, I start to cry.

Edit: What I have been missing would be complete examples of how things are done. There are code snippets, but then no idea of how to put them together. I finally found someone else's mod that I've tried to use as as model.
