Windows Iridium Scythe harvesting asymmetry/bug

When walking west to east, the Iridium Scythe is able to harvest up to 3 tiles to the north. However, when walking east to west, this range is reduced to 2 tiles. This is easy to do when aligning yourself to the top of any occupied tile, like a sprinkler.

Steps to reproduce:
1- Align your character to the top of a tile, easiest by walking into something like a sprinkler from the south.
2- Turn east and use the Iridium Scythe in a field of crops. Notice how the full north-south range of an Iridium Sprinkler is harvested in a single sweep.
3- Turn west and use the Iridium Scythe. Now, when aligning to an Iridium Sprinkler, the north-most row of crops is not affected by the Scythe.

This bug is far from game-breaking, and I'm unsure of how long it has been in the game but I feel like this is something that has been the case since the release of 1.6. I am unsure of whether this has something to do with the adjusted combat mechanics in 1.6 so I tagged it as 1.6 combat in case it might.
It is extremely annoying though, as when walking horizontally to harvest crops you can harvest an entire row in one direction, but the reverse one you have to either move slightly upwards into the path of sprinklers and continually dodge them and re-align yourself, or harvest less than the maximum range of the scythe allows.
