Xbox Infinite Power will not unlock

Hello. Like the title says, I cannot get this achievement to unlock under any circumstances. Can someone give me some help?

Info about my game:

• New save started after 1.6 came out, sometime in the fall/winter of 2024.
• I have an older save from WAAAAAY back, before ginger island was even a thing, but I haven't played it beyond loading it to look at the farm and log back out.
• Played entirely in local co-op. Sometimes the other profile was logged in, but since it wasn't getting achievements on the second profile, we gave up.

Things I have tried:

• Crafting the infinity blade and going to bed/saving.
• Realizing the achievement didn't tick and saving was a bad idea, then regathering the materials (pain!!!).
• Since then I have tried different things without saving to get this to unlock:
  • Crafting another infinity blade by rebuying a galaxy sword and forging it.
  • Forging the infinity gavel.
  • Forging the infinity dagger.
  • Forging the infinity gavel in single player.
  • Forging the infinity gavel and blade again, but on xbox streaming through my TV.
  • Deleting my save and pulling it down from the cloud and reforging the gavel.
  • Deleting the game and redownloading it and reforging the gavel.

None of this is helping and I am at a loss. I also can't find others having this problem post the most recent patch. I'm playing on xbox, so no mods, and no option to use anything other than the most recent version.

Update: I was able to pop this by joining someone else’s game and forging the infinity sword there. Someone joining my game was unable to unlock the achievement by forging an infinity weapon.

Therefore I suspect it’s an issue with saves started post 1.6. Joining an older save that was updated to 1.6 had no issue with the achievement unlock but my world doesn’t seem to unlock it either for myself or others.

Not a great workaround but might help somebody out there.
