I am at year six and have an idle co-op player (that I made in year 4) I use as a ginger Island farmer so I don't have to go back and forth and I decided to go for that character getting a statue of perfection and I am past year 3 but never interacted with the shrine until now so is there a way for this person to get a statue

If you never got the Statue of Perfection form Grandpa's Shrine, you can give it a Diamond to get re-evaluated at any time. However if your primary player already got a Statue of Perfection, the second (or third, fourth) cannot get another one. One Statue of Perfection per save...

Spoiler: Glitch/Bug exception

uuuuunless you use the Full Inventory Pickaxe glitch to get multiple Statues of Perfection, but this is only possible when you first receive the Statue.
