If I upgrade a coop or barn, will it destroy the items I've placed inside the building?

I was just wondering if upgrading a coop or barn will destroy any items that have been placed inside (heaters, mayonaise machines, cheese machines, loom etc)

No. Upgrades doesn't overleap the existing space, they all will stay wherever you placed
