What if in Stardew Valley 2 there is a mechanic that lets you play through generations of farmers? like you start off playing your original character, then as time goes on your character ages, and you start a family, and your character retires and you continue as your own child? that could be a fun mode. but make it optional for those who don't want a family. Could be fun!

But then I couldn't have my headcanon that we're all really elves!

(It's the only thing that makes sense of babies aging but everyone else frozen in time, including Jas, Vincent, and the toddlers. They aren't, really, it's just that we're playing through a much smaller fraction of their lifetimes than we would be for humans.)
