Hey Dwarf!

On my first save for SDV I changed the layout of my farm many different times. But now I tend to just overlap builds and construct my farm as I go -- every time my farms look unique and genuine, and it's easier to stay away from that industrial look I tend to get when laying out everything (i.e Having a 2 x 4 row of sheds hehe).

Regarding mods I don't have much experience in as vanilla SDV has really grown on me aesthetically and functionality however I see a lot of players on the Stardew Valley Discord server play with CK's mods. I have left a link to where you can get those mods at the bottom of this post.

I hope you find what you're looking for,

Thanks --

The link provided by @maximus is great !

As for mods, the best place is www.nexusmods.com.
You need to register but a free membership (with limited bandwidth) is fair enough for downloading SDV mods.
Download and install Vortex (a mod manager by nexusmods) making it easier.

You need to install "tool mods" in order to have more "real mods" working properly. They do include :

SMAPI
Content Patcher
Json Assets (if you want to use custom objects, there are plenty of good ones)
Spacecore (same)

Nexusmods warns you of pre-requisite mods when you download a new one, making it easy to first install these.

I'd recommend :

Eye Candy ([CP] means using the Content Patcher)

[CP] A Toned Down Stardew Valley (desaturated colors)

You might also like

[CP] Eemie's Map Recolors
[CP] Flower Valley
[CP] Seasonal Fences
[CP] Seasonal Floorings

[CP] Vintage Interface V2
[CP] Hojichas' Walls and Floors
[CP] Mi's and Magimatica Country Furniture
[CP] Industrial Kitchen and Interior
[CP] Industrial Furniture Set
[CP] v1.4 misc recolour
[CP]Yellog's wood craftables

Quality of Life

SkipIntro (while testing mods...)
UI Info Suite (life changer !)
LookupAnything (a kind of Encyclopedia allowing to "F1" any object hovered by the mouse pointer)

Cheats, more or less (I allowed myself to use them once I was rich enough and had completed the Grand'Pa's challenge of a 4-candles farm)

SkullCavernElevator
WinterGrass
BetterJunimos
GiftTasteHelper

Hint : you can reduce your silos to one by manually managing the hay between a chest and the only silo (pick it in the feeder inside, drop it on the silo from outside).

Cheers !

In first place, thanks a lot 4 the link we aprecciate a lot that.
>We know about the industrial look, but we love to decorate insides. Its the purpose to get a lot of sheds or why we want all the possible builds, items or things about the game. In our past game, our main farm has +500 hours played.

I always use grass that you can buy for cheap from Pierre! Grass breaks up everything nicely and you can place it in ways to combine props.

Place a piece of grass down first then put a fence or lamp post on it, then the grass will show under it still. Looks really good.

Use lamps and stuff to add some light sources.

The grey stone all looks like wasted space, get them sheds up, use some grass to break up the texture.

Mods, more grass is a good mod that adds multiple grass entities to allow differeing textures in the grass, I love it.

i know this post is pre-update, but now that we got it i want to make a suggestion (maybe you already did something likewise, but still): changing colours of the buildings was a big gamechanger for me!
