Windows I lost my hoe

I lost my hoe.
I gave it to the blacksmith for pumping. Two days later I got the notification about the improvement, but the blacksmith did not return it and for a week later too.
How to dig up ground without hoe?
I don't want to restart and the greenhouse is pretty small.

When you talk to the blacksmith, does he offer to upgrade your other tools? if yes, that suggests that the game thinks you got your hoe back. Look for your missing hoe in the Lost and Found box in the Mayor's Mansion. You could also look for it in The Adventurers Guild as some things end up there but I don't know if that includes Tools, it may be weapons only.
